Looking for a new job that gives you variety in your day and allows work-life balance?
Utilise your mechanical skills to ensure all Council vehicles, plant and equipment are serviced and are in road worthy condition to keep down time to a minimum.
Other duties and resp onsibilities include:
- Perform basic cutting and welding projects, auto-electrical tasks, hydraulic repairs, and servicing of auto air conditioning
- Supervise apprentices and other staff as required
- Report un-roadworthy or unsafe items
- Diagnose problems in vehicles, plant and equipment and ensure appropriate testing after repairs or maintenance
- Ensure appropriate safety equipment is being used correctly by staff
To be successful for this position you will have demonstrated experience working with the maintenance of plant and vehicles, with the ability to provide on-the-job training to apprentices, mechanic trade qualifications and a heavy articulated truck licence.
